Our client, a leading financial institution and insurance provider, is seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Engineer to join their dynamic team. If you have a knack for building secure, scalable applications and a desire to foster a "security first" culture, this is the role for you!

What You'll Do:

As the Tech Lead for the Application Security Platform squad, you will:

Design, develop, test, and maintain cutting-edge security tools, including SAST, SCA, and secret scanning tools, seamlessly integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
Drive a culture of engineering excellence by improving automation, test coverage, release velocity, and overall production health.
Collaborate with a diverse team to tackle real-life challenges and meet consumer needs, ensuring security is at the forefront of the development process.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding them in best practises and innovative solutions.
What You Bring:

Your experience and skills are crucial to our success. We're looking for someone with:

Experience in designing and developing enterprise-standard applications using major programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
Proven expertise in building scalable applications on platforms like Kubernetes.
Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers.
A solid understanding of application security practises (e.g., Pen Testing, SAST, DAST) and familiarity with tools for unit and functional testing.
Hands-on experience with automation, including pipeline implementation, CI/CD, and agile environments.

Proficiency in deploying maintainable, multi-tiered applications.
Experience with popular frameworks and libraries, including Spring, Angular, and RESTful APIs.
Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing peers and decision-makers effectively.
