Exciting contract opportunity (11 months) in Dublin for an experienced Release Manager to join growing Engineering team. You will be joining the Identity and Access Management (IAM) modernisation programme, you will play a crucial role in ensuring product release stability as programme features are enabled.
In this diverse and engaging role, you will have the opportunity to coordinate across multiple squads on various aspects of release management, change management, operational support, problem management, incident remediation, process enhancement, tooling reviews, stakeholder engagement, and communications. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing all release aspects of the application portfolio.
Responsibilities:
* Drive release readiness coordination with product and engineering leads, ensuring smooth release cycles and resource availability.
* Publish release calendars and communications to keep stakeholders informed and involved.
* Maintain adherence to change management practises and release readiness activities.
* Develop and maintain documentation for release and change management processes.
* Build out detailed playbooks and manage vendor product upgrades.
* Identify and assess risks that may impact feature deployments.
* Schedule Change Advisory Board meetings to discuss release schedules with the enterprise change management teams.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to computers.
* Proven ability in software release and project management.
* Familiarity with tools such as Service Now, Confluence, and JIRA.
* At least 4 years of enterprise IT change management experience.
* Proficiency in release and change management practises.
* Experience in operational support and incident resolution, including working with external vendors.
Desired Skills:
* Project management experience.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and engage with various stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of Agile methodology, software development lifecycle, and CI/CD processes/tools.
* Knowledge of change management best practises in a technology setting.
* Ability to quickly learn, adapt, and thrive in a changing environment.
* Leadership skills, allowing you to effectively lead team initiatives and operate across a global team.
