Procurement Manager - Telecommunications Sector
Location: Dublin 2 (On-site, 5 days/week)
Type: Full-Time

About the Research Centre
This role is based within the company's Irish Research Centre, a hub of collaboration between industry leaders and top European universities. The centre focuses on tackling real-world challenges and advancing strategic research projects in ICT and beyond.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full procurement process across General, Admin, and Production categories.
- Oversee supplier selection through bidding, negotiation, and cost analysis.
- Coach and support the procurement team in negotiation tactics, risk awareness, and procurement best practices.
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the best possible value for goods and services.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure procurement aligns with operational and project needs.
- Assess and qualify suppliers to meet product/service standards.
- Provide regular reporting on procurement performance, savings, and risk.
- Collaborate with legal to draft and manage supplier contracts.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with clear and consistent communication.
- Manage invoice queries and monitor payment workflows.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Experience in procurement, preferably but not limited to within the telecoms sector or a global organisation.
- Fluency in English.
- Deep understanding of procurement processes, negotiations, and cost breakdowns.
- Strong organisational, time management, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Highly professional and driven, with a strong commitment to quality and results.
