Role: Network Engineer

Location: Dublin 19, full time on site required

Duration: 12-month contract

Rate: €350.00 per day PAYE

We're expanding our world-class engineering team and looking for a Senior Network Engineer to help design, deploy, and optimize our global Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) infrastructure. You'll work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, solving critical problems and building systems that keep the world connected.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing:

• Architect, deploy, and scale our global DWDM networks


• Drive infrastructure growth to meet global demand


• Develop tools and processes to streamline our network operations


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across the tech stack


• Evaluate cutting-edge technologies and lead vendor selection processes


• Uphold and evolve our optical network standards


• Lead change implementation and performance tuning across DWDM platforms


• Champion operational excellence and continuous improvement


• Troubleshoot complex networking issues and deliver innovative solutions

🧠 What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in a tech-related field or equivalent practical experience


• Extensive of experience in optical and IP networking


• Proven track record in designing and rolling out large-scale DWDM networks


• Deep knowledge of platforms like Ciena, Infinera, Cisco DWDM systems


• Expertise in Cisco and Juniper routing platforms and configurations


• Solid foundation in IP networking and protocols (especially BGP, OSPF)


• Advanced troubleshooting and network analysis skills


• Experience with a wide range of protocols and technologies including:
  DWDM, SONET, IPv4/6, TCP, VLANs, PIM, IGMP, VPNs, NetFlow, DNS, HTTP, and more
