About the Team
The Dublin Enterprise Credit Risk Technology team is a vital part of a global development group responsible for some of the most critical systems in the organisation. Our agile team collaborates closely with business partners to enhance and build platforms that support the Bank's control and decision-making functions. We are committed to improving our processes and continuously evolving our operational model and technologies.
What You'll Do
As a Lead Big Data Developer, you will oversee the full development lifecycle, engaging in:
Requirements gathering, design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment.
Delivering solutions that restructure, simplify, and maintain data management, data processing, and reporting processes.
Daily interaction with both technology and business groups to drive collaboration and innovation.
Key Skills & Experience Required
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Strong experience in Big Data development (Hive, Impala, or Spark).
Proficiency in hands-on relational database/SQL development.
Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and drive delivery.
Practical experience in data analysis and process analysis.
Effective communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.
Familiarity with Git PR reviews and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible.
Preferred Skills
Good knowledge of shell scripting.
Experience in an agile development environment within Financial Services or regulated industries.
Data management experience, for example, BCBS 239.
