Job Opportunity: Infrastructure SRE Engineer
Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge in the world of Cloud Computing? Our client is on the lookout for a talented Infrastructure SRE Engineer to join their dynamic team in Dublin!
Responsibilities:
Administer & Automate: Maintain and automate systems for reliability, scalability and security.
Collaborate: Work with R&D teams to design and operate resilient and scalable services.
Support Deployments: Focus on company's Mobile Services from a networking perspective.
Monitor & Debug: analyse and resolve high-severity network incidents.
Report Metrics: Develop reports on service availability, performance and capacity.
Continuous Improvement: Enhance operations by automating tasks and documenting procedures.
On-Call Support: Participate in ad-hoc on-call support (approximately one week every two months).
What You'll Bring:
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Telecommunications or equivalent.
Experience: 3+ years in designing, deploying, and operating networks.
Technical Skills:
- Expert knowledge of TCP/IP and IPv6
- Experience with VMs and Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with Content Delivery Networks
- Deep experience in managing Linux environments
- Understanding of incident, change, and problem management
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications (CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, RHCSA) are a plus!
Experience with load balancing at various layers.
Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python).
Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible.
