Are you an experienced accountant looking to make an impact in a global tech leader? Our client's Global Statutory Controllership Team is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic finance professional to join our newly established team. This is a unique opportunity to work on statutory and financial management for a diverse portfolio of legal entities worldwide, many of which stem from recent acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
Statutory Accounting & Financial Management:
* Oversee the financial close process, preparation of statutory financial statements, and coordination of external audits for multiple legal entities.
* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of statutory accounting, supporting the completion of annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
* Conduct legal entity financial reviews and collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure compliance.
Tax & Compliance Support:
* Partner with local tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
* Provide support for tax audits and inquiries, leveraging the expertise of the internal International Tax Team and external advisors.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
* Build and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and cross-functional teams (e.g., Corporate Accounting, Treasury, and Legal).
* Act as a key finance contact for internal and external stakeholders related to entity compliance and governance.
Process Improvement:
* Partner with shared service providers to enhance processes, standardize workflows, and explore automation opportunities.
* Regularly review and refine scope of work and procedures for outsourced teams to ensure alignment with the organization's standards.
Skills/Experience/Education:
* Third level degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or other relevant, or equivalent in experience.
* Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA preferred). Part-qualified candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
* Senior/Management level of experience in finance and accounting within a large organization.
* Strong technical expertise in IFRS and US GAAP, with experience preparing and reviewing annual financial statements.
* Familiarity with tax compliance processes and ability to collaborate with tax advisors (tax qualification not required).
* Proven experience managing external audits and compliance for complex entities.
* High-level communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
* Interest and enthusiasm for joining a new, fast-growing team.

* Interview Process: 2 video call interviews with the hiring manager and a team member.
* Start Date: As soon as possible.
* Work Mode: This is a hybrid position, 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
